OKLAHOMA CITY -- If you're on the job market these days, then you have to be imaginative about finding work. Galen Culver has the story of a young man who hasn't even graduated from college yet, but who landed his dream job making what a lot of his fellow students drink.
He still has two classes left for the spring semester. Chase Healey spent six years of his life working towards a degree in advertising and he's almost there. but Chase isn't sweating through his senior year. He already has his dream job as a brew master.
Healey bought a beer-making kit as soon as it was legal and he had lots of practice. He came into contact with some other local home brewers, talked and tasted with the right people, and this year started his dream.
He's head beer maker for a new Oklahoma brewery called Coop Ale Works. Chase spends his days studying and making brews like DNR, GranSport, and Horney Toad.
There's an old saying about achieving happiness in your work. It's finding what you like best and then figure out a way to get paid for it.
