Apache murder scene photos
APACHE, OK -- An Oklahoma police officer is accused of taking pictures at a murder scene then showing the photos around town. The Apache police officer said he only took them as evidence for the investigation. He claimed the entire incident was blown out of proportion, but the victim's family does not agree.

"We'll probably never get over it. They say that time does heal and all this, but it's something we'll never get over," Stan Sexton said.

Sexton is still dealing with the death of his 19-year-old son Nolan Sexton. He was shot by another teen two months ago.

During the investigation officer Thomas Yagley took pictures of the crime scene and is now accused of showing those pictures around town.

"It just adds a little bit more fuel to the fire," Sexton said. "That's the only way I can put it."

Yagley was fired on Friday, but the police chief claims it was not because of the pictures.

"He was out there driving a patrol car while his driver's license was revoked and issuing tickets," Apache Police Chief Andrew Roberts said.

Yagley admits he was driving without a license and that he took pictures of the murder scene, but says he only showed them to one person; an emergency medical technician. The victim's father says even that is unacceptable.

"It should have never happened. It wasn't right," Sexton said.

Whether Yagley will face any criminal charges will be determined after an OSBI investigation is complete.
