TECUMSEH, OK -- Two men are behind bars after a wild crime spree that included robberies, carjackings, car chases and a manhunt. Police say two men robbed a medical clinic in Konawa early Tuesday. During that robbery, the men shot one victim and beat another. The two crooks then fled to Maud where they robbed a gas station and a church. Finally the pair ended up in Tecumseh where they got into a shootout at a small pharmacy.
The two suspects then split up; one man, Robert Cardenas, stole a car and led police on a high-speed chase that ended on Highway 9 south of Lake Thunderbird.
The second suspect, Jason Masieo, fled the pharmacy on foot.
That sparked a massive manhunt.
Search planes and dogs were brought in to help and check points were even set up along the roads leaving town.
The suspect was eventually caught just a few blocks from the pharmacy.
