OKLAHOMA CITY - A police investigation is now underway after a man was shot and killed at an Oklahoma City night club. According to investigators the shooting took place just after two o'clock this morning at Club Rodeo.

We're told the officers were clearing people out of the club after a fight when 23-year-old Johnny Mixon opened fire at four OU Police officers that were working security.

Seconds later the officers returned fire killing 24-year-old Lance Dawkins, and injuring two other people including Mixon.

"This investigation will be complete and thorough just like any other homicide investigation would be. Our investigators will look at the actions of both the suspects as well as the officers that did return fire," said Jennifer Wardlow with Oklahoma City Police Department.

Officials with Club Rodeo say they are looking into the incident.
