PIEDMONT, OK -- People in Piedmont are reacting to the arrest of 31-year-old Steven Cardenas; better known as Coach Cardenas.
Cardenas, a wrestling coach and Spanish teacher at Piedmont High School, has been charged with three counts of second degree rape and two counts of forcible sodomy. The alleged victim is a female student.
The Canadian County District Attorney charged Cardenas on Thursday. He was booked into the Canadian County Jail.
Piedmont Public Schools is expected to issue a statement Friday.
