NICHOLS HILLS, OK -- A Nichols Hills doctor accused of murder went before a county judge Wednesday morning. Doctor Stephen Wolf remains behind bars at the Oklahoma County jail after a judge denied his bond. Police claim Wolf repeatedly stabbed his 9-year-old son Tommy Wolf to death inside the family home.
When the first police officer arrived on scene Monday morning he supposedly found Dr. Wolf on the kitchen floor over his son's body.
Court records show Dr. Wolf said "he's got the devil in him and you know it" several times.
Because of those statements, one well-known local attorney expects Dr. Wolf's sanity to be called into question.
"When someone does not know right from wrong, at the time the acts are committed, there's no criminal culpability," said attorney Garvin Isaacs.
The district attorney has not yet filed formal charges in the case.
