Chris Norris said, "He switched lanes, cut in front of us, tried to swerve us off the road. I was like geez! What's this guy doing'? He must be nuts! What's going on? Then Nicole screamed he's got a gun!"
Scared senseless, Chris Norris says he and his fiancée stopped honking at the reckless driver and followed him into this nearby parking lot to get his tag information for police. Officers quickly arrived on scene and arrested 43-year-old Darryl Inman of Edmond. They found two handguns in his truck, along with his concealed weapon license. A charge Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater took seriously.
Oklahoma Co. District Attorney David Prater said, "I wanted to handle this personally on the heels of the pharmacy shooting. I felt it was another concealed carry license incident that crossed the line for self-defense."
Inman has now been ordered to pay both victims $500 to cover any counseling costs or loss of wages because of the incident. He's serving a 10-month deferred sentence with anger management classes and had to forfeit his guns and gun permit for life.
