Life sentence for burglary?
ENID, OK -- A charge of burglary doesn't usually carry that much time, but if an Enid man gets convicted of the crime, he could go away for good.

Brew is always on the move at Pope Distributing in Enid, but beer wasn't what was on tap for a couple of criminals who recently paid Pope's an unwelcome visit and stole a television and laptop computer.

Officers arrested 31-year-old Conan Carson, who is now charged with second-degree burglary. Come to find, he has seven previous felony convictions and because of his lengthy criminal history, Carson could face life behind bars.

Employees at Pope Distributing aren't sure if a permanent prison sentence is justified. They'll leave that to a jury.

"I definitely do not think this needs to be something taken lightly. I hope they figure it out and give him a fair punishment for the crime's he's done," said Mitch Zaloudek.

Carson is being held at the Garfield County Detention Facility on a 75,000 bond. If convicted, he could get anywhere from six years to life in prison.
