OKLAHOMA CITY -- It was a traffic stop turned fugitive find. Metro law enforcement agencies tracked down a Department of Corrections escapee after his driver forgot to use his turn signal. Alleged Escapee Leonard Anderson said, "I don't know nothin'. I don't know what's goin' on. They're sayin' something about that truck. I just got picked up." U.S. Marshals say an informant told them that a truck had been involved in narcotic activity.

They followed it and pulled it over for not signaling; they ended up with much more than a traffic violator.

U.S. Marshal Chuck McNeil said, "We had a drug dog hit on it.Since then, we've found out that the passenger in the truck is a DOC escapee."

They say 28-year-old Leonard Anderson escaped from Union City Correctional Facility in July while on work duty.

Looking at his criminal history, he's been in and out of prison for nearly a decade on drug, burglary and fraud convictions.

But while being cuffed, Anderson claimed they had no right to arrest him.

Several other state agencies helped make the arrest Friday along I-40 on the Harrah/Newalla exit.

Anderson was booked in the Oklahoma County Jail.
