TUTTLE, OK -- There are new details involving a heartbreaking case News Channel Four has been following for almost a year. We first told you about the death of 15-year-old Kaitlyn Mounce in January. She died along a country road vehicle accident involving teenagers and alcohol.

The driver got the alcohol during a party where drinks were provided by a husband and wife who, in just a few days, will stand before an Oklahoma judge and receive their punishment.

For the first time, the parents of the victim are speaking out and say penalties for what happened to their daughter should match the crime.

"The night she left I said, 'Why are you always leaving daddy?' She said, 'Dad, it's not like I'm leaving forever. I'll be back tomorrow,'" Keith Mounce said.

Then the unthinkable happened.

"We got a phone call," Shari Mounce said. "You're daughter's been in a wreck, and when I got there they said she's dead. I just laid there and looked at her face and her eyes."

They were eyes once full of joy and laughter; eyes Keith and Shari Mounce will never get to look into again.

"They say she died instantly, but I don't know if she laid out there on that country road, bleeding and broken and waiting for help," Shari Mounce said.

"I did CPR on her for over an hour, and finally the EMT told me to stop," Keith Mounce said.

The events leading up to that night constantly haunt these parents. Their 15-year-old daughter Kaitlyn spent the night with a friend.

The two girls ended up going to party where John and Cheryl Kyle provided alcohol to minors.

The girls left with 17-year-old Lance David.

David was sentenced earlier this year after prosecutors say he was drunk when he crashed his truck, killing Kaitlyn. The Kyle's sentencing is now just days away.

"I can't imagine that parents would do that and then the justice system," Shari Mounce said.

"They'll push them through the system just like they do all the rest of the people with DUIs," Keith Mounce said. "The state of Oklahoma is lenient when it comes to DUIs."

It's been almost a year since that January night when hours earlier Kaitlyn performed her last dance competition with her cheerleading squad; her mother still hasn't washed the uniform.

"She changed out of this and went to her friend's house," Shari Mounce said. "I can't bear to wash it."

Kaitlyn's bedroom is just like she left as her parents hope for justice, but those hopes aren't high.

"They're just going to be in and out," Keith Mounce said.

The Kyle's have both been charged with second-degree manslaughter and providing alcohol to minors; each could get up to nine years in prison.
