NORMAN, OK -- A grandmother is accused of putting her infant grandchild in danger after sheriff's deputies say she showed up drunk to pay her DUI fine. Authorities tell us 43-year-old April Sutton was intoxicated as she carried her grandson into the Cleveland County Courthouse. They say she was there to pay a previous DUI fine.

Undersheriff Rhett Burnett said, "As the lady walked to courthouse, she dropped the baby twice & the baby was crying."

Witness Kimberlee Jones said, "The baby was on her hip & he was sliding down going to fall. I froze & she dropped him. He went head first, she caught him by his ankle, but his head hit the sidewalk."

The baby was treated and released that day.

Authorities tell us he is in his mother's care.

Sutton is facing charges of child endangerment and public intoxication.
