The pile of stuff took on a whole new value after the owner of Little "J" Concrete made a discovery over the Halloween weekend.
He says, "Me and my guys were cleaning up the backyard and we flipped the rock over and found out there was some writing on the back. Took the water hose and washed it off and found out that it was a headstone."
The stone reads "Ada V. Miller Apr. 1, 1880 - Feb. 25th, 1937".
Carpenter has no clue when or how it got there, or where it's supposed to be.
Talking about the discovery he says, "I think I was just more scared that I had something that didn't belong to me that meant so much to someone else. I don't need it. It's not mine. I just ended up with it and I'd really like to get it back to who it belongs to."
That might be a step closer to happening after some employees at Dignity Memorial stepped in.
They offered to help do some research on the stone and discovered Ada Miller and her husband are buried at Rose Hill Burial Park in Oklahoma City.
The two do have a memorial at their grave site.
The best guess right now is the one Carpenter found was replaced at some point with the one currently marking the Miller resting place.
But how it ended up seven miles from the cemetery in Carpenter's yard is still a mystery.
