NICHOLS HILLS, OK –Police in Nichols Hills say a 9-year-old boy is murdered inside his home. The accused killer is his father, Dr. Stephen Wolf. Police were called to 1715 Elm Hurst at just before 4 a.m. When the first police officer arrived, he found the home owner, Dr. Steven Wolf armed with a knife.
His wife Mary had suffered several stab wounds to her hand.
9-year-old, Tommy Wolf was pronounced dead on scene.
Tommy was a 3rd grade student at Christ the King private school just down the street from the family's home.
Investigators arrested Dr. Wolf for first degree intentional murder; although at this point, detectives don't know exactly what causes the crime.
Leaders in Nichols Hills say murders like this are rare in the city.
"The crime, of course, can happened anywhere," Said chief Richard Mask. "It does and Nichols Hills isn't that different from any other community. People are people and everyone has their problems."
OSBI has been called in to assist with the investigation.
The wife was taken to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
