NICHOLS HILLS, OK -- Officials with the Nichols Hills police department are now releasing new information involving the death of 9-year-old Tommy Wolf. His father, a prominent Oklahoma doctor, is accused of the crime. Despite earlier speculation, officials say there is no evidence that Stephen Wolf was addicted to alcohol or prescription drugs.
While searching the house, investigators did find several items including a broken knife.
A friend of Dr. Wolf says there is no way that the crime was premeditated because Wolf was making plans for Thanksgiving weekend just hours before the murder .
Instead of going on vacation with his friend, Chris Bernardy is now cleaning up Wolf's house.
Officials are expected to file formal charges sometime next week, but before they do so, investigators would like to talk to Mrs. Wolf one more time.
