Family members of the victims wiped away tears while prosecuting attorneys gave their closing arguments.
Shouting, "The truth is the truth is the truth," District Attorney Greg Mashburn told the jury there was plenty of evidence that Davis knew what he was doing when he picked up a shotgun and took aim at the women; the jury agreed.
Davis' defense attorneys argued Davis was suffering from a black out and was too intoxicated to be able to intentionally kill the women.
That defense did not sit well with the son-in-law of one of the victims.
E.J. Cope says, "They tried to use him being drunk as an excuse. I mean, if that were the case, you might as well let every convicted DUI case, just let them all go free too."
He added the family is glad the trial is behind them saying, "Some relief. I mean there is still going to be a lot to hold on to but at least this will be a step towards letting go."
The case now enters the punishment phase where jurors will decide Davis' sentence.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
