PAULS VALLEY, OK -- Oklahoma is "in the movies" once again. Cast and crew have descended on Pauls Valley to make a movie on "noodling." USC grad student Rebecca Eskreis became intrigued with the unique sport and decided to write a movie centered around the topic. And while the film could have been shot elsewhere, the young film maker felt the Washita River, Garvin County and its colorful people would be picture-perfect for her student project.

Eskreis said, " I thought to myself, 'I don't want to take this story somewhere else. I want to shoot it in the real place with local actors.' They've helped us in so many ways I wouldn't have ever imagined."

"Noodling" should be finished in about 4 months and Eskreis hopes to debut the "short" at film festivals like Cannes and Sundance.

She's also planning a screening in Oklahoma once the project is complete.
