CHICKASHA, OK -- An Oklahoma law officer is accused of stealing from her own fellow officers. Authorities say they caught her on tape. On several occasions employees of the Grady County Pardon and Parole Board complained about money missing from their purses.

That's when authorities say they set up a hidden camera and found out where it was going.

The video is grainy, but prosecutors say what happened is very clear.

They say a probation and parole officer stole money from a co-worker's purse, and it's not the first time.

"We believe there were multiple thefts that were actually over two-hundred dollars over several days time period," Assistant District Attorney Lesley March said. "We think officers should be held to a higher standard that at least they can share an office and not steal from each other."

After several complaints of stolen cash, investigators set up a hidden camera and within 15 minutes of doing so, caught their culprit; 32-year-old Leticia Green.

In the video you can see Green walk around a co-worker's desk, kneel down and quickly put something in her back pocket.

What you don't see is the ten dollar bill investigators photocopied and later confronted her about; a petty amount she at first denied taking.

"I put cameras in the probation and parole office last week," and investigator said during an interview with Green. "This just happens to be one of them. What do you have in your back pockets right now? It sure looks like you put this money in your back pocket."

"I didn't go in her purse," Green said. "It was setting out on the purse."

"The first thing I need is this ten dollar bill," the investigator said.

She reached into her pocket and handed it over. It's a felony charge because she had the stolen bill with her, something her attorney says she can overcome.

"This woman, at this point, has lost her career in law enforcement," defense attorney Ryland Rivas said. "She is standing for a master's degree at a local university and has never been in trouble before. So, even if the facts prove out that she did all the things alleged to be done, I think she'll have the opportunity to start her life fresh."

In addition to a criminal charge, the pardon and parole board says they immediately took care of the issue and that Green resigned after she was confronted.
