OKLAHOMA CITY - Putnam City residents took the brunt of Thursday's storms. Bob Moore Chopper 4 was over James L. Dennis Elementary after wind ripped the roof off. So much damage was caused, school is canceled Friday.
Nearby residents are cleaning up their backyards from extensive damage caused by downed trees. One woman found one in her swimming pool.
Homeowner Bonnie Vonnetzer said, "The tree branch flew over the fence & I thought I was dead. I screamed bloody murder."
No reports of injuries, just a big clean-up job. School officials will be back out to assess the damage more Friday.
