SEMINOLE, OK -- It was suppose to be just like any other day at Tiger Trucking in Seminole, but employees are now in shock after their co-worker, Richard Basque, was tragically killed early Wednesday morning. "A gentlemen (Basque) was attempting to thaw a valve on an 80 barrel tank truck and some how it ignited causing an explosion and took his life," said Sheriff Shannon Smith.

Smith also claims that the blast could be felt and heard from about 4 miles away.

Smith says the tankers are used to transport salt water and crude oil.

Hours after the accident, Basques co-workers and family members denied an on camera interview, but claim he had several years of experience and are devastated by the loss.

They also say Basque buried his brother on Tuesday.
