NORMAN, OK -- In less than 48 hours, U.S. Marshals were able to track down the suspect police say shot a man Wednesday morning. David Duncan, 20, is facing a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Duncan is accused of shooting a man in the arm and abdomen near the 2600 block of 108th Avenue. He was taken into custody Friday afternoon.
"We received information from a confidential informant this afternoon that he was going to try to go to a bail bondsman's office to try and arrange bail in case he was arrested," said Chuck McNeil, U.S. Marshals.
Authorities were there waiting for him and transported Duncan to the jail.
Hours later, Duncan posted bail and was released. His girlfriend tells us he did nothing wrong and that police have the wrong guy.
"For some reason they issued a warrant for assault with a deadly weapon, he's assaulted nobody, I've been with him the whole time," she said.
