OKLAHOMA CITY -- In less then 24 hours local racers should know the fate of the Oklahoma State Speedway. In December of 2009, city officials shut down the track and canceled the 2010 racing season because of hanging power lines and other electrical issues near the grandstands.

To keep the track open, members of the racing community filed an injection against the city's decision.

During today's hearing, an expert witness for the Oklahoma Racing Association testified that the electrical issues were not severe enough to cancel the racing season, but an electrician for the city disagreed and said patrons would be in danger.

A final decision about the speedway should be determined by Friday afternoon.
