OKLAHOMA CITY -- This latest winter storm may not have packed much a punch, but leaders in Oklahoma City say the frequent winter weather is starting to take a toll. Everything from the city budget to the condition of streets is feeling the impact. Potholes continue popping up all over town.

Even today crews were out patching some of those holes.

Drivers appreciate the effort, but the frequent winter storms have made for some rough rides.

"I don't know how to describe it; it's kind of crazy," said one driver.

"You can notice everything's bumpier than usual. It rattles you a little bit," said Robert Overhulser.

The plowing and salting efforts alone have also begun to cost the city more money than normal.

"We think we've spent $1.5 million fighting the snow and ice; that's a little unusual for us," said Mike DeGiacomo.

In most cases, once the city gets a pothole complaint, crews try to fix it within 3 days.
