The only sounds you can hear now are dogs barking, but moments earlier it was the breaking of glass after police broke a window to get the attention of suspected drug dealers inside. Lawmen say they caught them in the act.
"The resident would not come out when we first announced the search warrant," Captain Kenneth Sloan said. "They were in a back bedroom smoking marijuana. They wouldn't come out so we broke a window out and reminded them of our presence."
Police were tipped off to possible drug activity and after serving the search warrant found much more than drugs.
"We found numerous items of CDS (controlled dangerous substances), as well as stolen property," Sloan said. "When you find several of the same items in a house it's normally uncommon and you start checking numbers."
After carloads of armed officers and a broken window, 21-year-old Mikal Tease, 19-year-old Chambria Lee and 29-year-old Jamell Coleman were taken into custody.
"At that point after we broke the window out, they all three gave up without incident," Sloan said.
Lee and Tease are now facing charges possession of marijuana and Coleman with possession and concealing stolen property.
