Woman attacked behind Edmond pizza place
EDMOND, OK -- A metro woman is now recovering from injuries after she was allegedly attacked outside this Edmond business early Monday afternoon.

According to police the victim was taking out the trash when the suspect allegedly attacked her and knocked her unconscious behind a Little Caesars restaurant near 2nd street and Santa Fe early Monday afternoon.

Despite her injuries police say the suspect didn't take anything and possibly ran into a wooded area.

After an hour long manhunt police did not find a suspect.

"Hopefully someone would heard something or seen something. It was the middle of the day broad open daylight, noon time, a lot of people coming and going out of this Little Caesars so hopefully someone would have saw something or seen something," said Glynda Chu with the Edmond Police Department.

The woman's injuries are not life threatening.
