WOODWARD, OK -- A foster dad says he's lucky to be alive after being shot in the chest by one of his daughters in his Woodward home. Pastor Robert Parker says the attack happened while he was sleeping Friday morning. 15-year-old Ashley Jewell and 15-year-old Kelsey Beames are both facing attempted murder charges.
Jewell told authorities, Beames has threatened her life if she didn't carry out the attack.
They were upset that their parents sent Jewell's brother to a mental health hospital.
Parker says she threatened to kill his wife after shooting him.
Parker asked her, "Sweetheart, what are you doing? You're ruining your life. What are you doing this for?"
Parker's wife says despite Jewell threatening her life immediately after the shooting, he forgives her.
Barbara Parker says, "You can't just love, I said if I could trust you again that's a different story, I'll probably never trust you again but I do love you Ashley."
Both girls have been charged with shooting with intent to kill and conspiracy to commit murder.
Their preliminary hearing is set for January 12th.
