Teen boy injured in wreck identified

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City police have identified a teenage boy who was injured in an accident Friday morning.The boy has also been reunited with his family.

Police say 15-year-old Thomas McNary was seriously injured after he was hit by a truck around 8:30 Friday morning.

The accident happened in the 1900 block of N.E. 23rd Street.

McNary was riding a BMX bike when he was struck by a truck.

Police asked for the boy's name before he slipped into unconsciousness, he responded "Thomas." 

A family member saw a Facebook post about the unidentified accident victim and contact McNary's father and step-mother.

McNary was staying with is grandmother at the time and got lost when he was struck by the car.

Family members have been reunited with the boy in the hospital.

At last check, McNary suffered major head trauma and is listed in critical condition.
