TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A 9-hour standoff between police and a robbery suspect holding a woman and her 6-year-old girl hostage has ended peacefully in Tulsa.
Police said the hostages were released unharmed Tuesday morning and the suspect, Bobby Scott, surrendered. A second man in the apartment was taken into custody while police investigated his role.
A Dollar General Store and a Subway restaurant were robbed late Monday. Officers tracked the suspect to an apartment complex in east Tulsa.
A woman who lives at the complex called relatives and said she her daughter were being held inside their apartment by her boyfriend. There was no immediate word on what weapons were used in the robbery and the standoff.
